Sporting Clays

You may have heard of sporting clays referred to as golf with a shotgun, and that’s a fair comparison. Like golf courses, no two sporting clays courses are alike, and terrain and background have a lot to do with how targets are presented. Since no two courses are alike, shooters travel to different courses to experience variety. Sporting clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. Rather than having clay birds thrown from standardized distances and angles as with skeet or trap, sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of ducks, pheasants, other upland birds, and even rabbits.

Becoming a Level II Certified sporting clay instructor was a way that Tim Philpot could share the sport with others and help raise funds for non-profit organizations.
For a donation to one of the non-profit organizations for which we have passion, Tim Philpot & Quinn Moser, provide a ½ day Sporting Clays School at the Arlington Sportsmen Club in Mansfield, Tx. Please contact us to learn more details about the school.

Embrace Grace

Embrace Grace exists to help inspire and equip the church to love and encourage single and pregnant young women and their families. Women experiencing unexpected pregnancies receive practical, spiritual, and emotional support through our global support groups.


Christ Haven

Youth ages 0-18 living in our neighborhood of homes. Christ’s Haven is an option outside of traditional foster care, often when a caregiver has exhausted all efforts to care for a child. Whether a child is with us for six months or sixteen years, we utilize that time loving them as our own and instilling normalcy, dignity, and hope into their lives.

The Roanoke Food Pantry

  • Clothing
  • Health/Hygiene supplies
  • Medical/Dental care
  • Utility payments
