Family Wealth Advisor

I have been privileged to work in the field of financial services, serving as a trusted Family Wealth Advisor to countless individuals and families. At Preservation Financial we help clients develop their “family spending plan” which is incorporated into their financial plan, and we also manage their investments.  Being able to make a positive difference in the lives of the people I serve is truly fulfilling to me.  My personal mission is to be a faithful servant to those I am privileged to work with, and I strive to embody that mission every day.

After graduating from, the University of Georgia with a BBA in accounting, I started my career with the international accounting firm KPMG.  During my time with KPMG, I obtained my designation as a Certified Public Accountant.  Eventually, I transitioned to the field of healthcare and shortly thereafter began serving as the Chief Executive Officer for a healthcare system in Fort Worth, Texas.  As CEO I not only oversaw the day-to-day managerial activities of the system but also performed oversight management of the system’s investment programs additionally as a member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Hospital Association served as its Chairman for its Investment Committee that managed the investments for thirteen hospitals’ retirement plans.

While working in healthcare, I obtained an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.  In addition, the University appointed me as an Adjunct Faculty member in its Department of Finance and I was privileged to teach Healthcare Finance for its Master of Healthcare Administration program.

Driven by my desire to be a business owner, I left healthcare and founded what is today Preservation Financial Wealth Management, a firm which provides holistic family wealth management services that are consistent with Biblical principles.

On a personal note, I am happily married to my wife Therese, and we have a precious daughter and two wonderful grandsons.  I enjoy the leisure activity of Sporting Clays, which is a shotgun shooting sport.  I’ve enjoyed the sport so much that I have earned the designation as a Level II Certified Instructor by the National Sporting Clay Association located in San Antonio, Texas.  Growing up in Carrollton, Georgia, in a small farming community where hard work and setting goals were deeply engrained in my upbringing.  Our family had very modest means, but the children were taught the value of working for what you want in life and the importance of setting and achieving goals.  Additionally, we learned that one’s faith is more important than material wealth.  These teachings enabled me to work my way through college, earn an MBA, become a CPA, and achieve certification as a PFS.  I am incredibly grateful to live in a country that allows me to exercise my faith fully and that offers opportunities for growth and development to those who value hard work and goal setting.
