In my role at Preservation Financial, I work closely with clients on a day-to-day basis, collaborating with Tim Philpot, my business partner, to develop investment strategies and provide support in the development of financial and retirement income plans for the firm’s clients. What truly motivates me is the opportunity to build relationships with clients and make a real difference in their lives, even when they don’t realize the extent of what we have done for them. Being an integral part of our clients’ financial journey and serving as a trusted advisor for them is incredibly fulfilling to me.
I joined Preservation Financial in January 2020, following almost three years as an Associate Advisor at a financial services firm in West Texas. During that time, I pursued my bachelor’s degree in business finance from Lubbock Christian University and later obtained my Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. Upon completion of my master’s degree, I sat and passed the exam for becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL ADVISOR™ My association with Preservation Financial Wealth Management has allowed me to apply my abilities, formal training, and principles to be fully applied for the benefit of clients.
Family holds a special place in my heart, and I am fortunate to be married to my wonderful wife, Mackenzie, who is a dedicated Registered Nurse working in neonatal intensive care units of hospitals. We have two beautiful daughters, Teagan, and Tatum. Watching our daughters grow and experience the many precious milestones of life is one of the most rewarding aspects of our lives.
Growing up in Coppell, Texas, I developed a passion for personal finance because I witnessed the impact it had on my own family. Recognizing the need for trustworthy advice and guidance, I set out to make a difference in the lives of families facing similar challenges. At Preservation Financial, we approach our clients' needs with the heart of a teacher and a wise friend, always listening first and providing guidance while respecting their ultimate decisions. Each person we work with is unique, and I enjoy the challenge of tailoring financial plans, along with strategies for investing, to their individual goals and desires.
When I'm not focused on work and family, you'll often find me spending quality time with my loved ones. We are actively involved in Countryside Bible Church, where Mackenzie and I serve in many different roles. Sports also hold a special place in my heart, particularly baseball, and I enjoy activities like hunting, sporting clays, softball, and golf. Balancing these interests with my commitment to serving others creates a fulfilling and purpose-driven life.
