Tim Philpot, MBA, CPA, PFS

 

Tim's career began as a CPA with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.  After public accounting, Tim had a career in health care which lasted 25 years.  The last 18 years of his health care career were spent as President/CEO of a hospital and major health care system.  In 1996 Tim left health care to provide insurance plans and financial solutions for business owners.  This business is now expanded and combined into our current financial advisory firm. 

 

Tim's years of accounting, health care and insurance experience uniquely provide Tim with comprehensive insight into the financial and health care needs of retirees.  Tim is also certified by the American Institute of CPAs as a Personal Financial Specialist.  

 

Tim applies his knowledge of life insurance & annuity products along with his understanding of active money management programs to help people with their investment programs.  Additionally, Tim works with the Attorneys for clients in developing and implementing appropriate estate plans.

 

Tim is a sought after speaker and an adjunct faculty member of the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) College of Business. His business experience is invaluable to the many business owners who have become his clients 

 

Business owners face unique situations with respect to their accumulation and management of their base of wealth.  Most often, the owner's business will constitute the greatest portion of their base of wealth and therefore if the business becomes more profitable automatically the owner's base of wealth is improved.  Tim applies his extensive knowledge of employee benefit programs to help his business clients with cost effective strategies in the area of their employee benefit programs with the result that the owner's net worth is positively impacted.

David Schoening, MBA, CPA, CFP®

 

David’s 24 year career includes public tax accounting, entrepreneurship, and financial management in insurance and healthcare companies.  While serving as Chief Financial Officer of a home healthcare organization, David gained an appreciation for the health and financial issues faced by seniors in retirement.  He has seen firsthand the financial ruin of those who failed to plan adequately, so he decided to do something about it.

 

As a CFP®practitioner, David now devotes himself to helping those in the prime of life to apply proven financial strategies to avoid pitfalls and secure their future financially, resulting in peace of mind.

 

David provides a free financial review service for individuals that includes a review of retirement needs and goals, review of insurance needs and current policies, investment of savings, and tax issues facing individuals.  He also coordinates the development of desired wills and trusts with your attorney so that these documents are consistent with your overall financial goals.

 

David regularly attends training and continuing education to maintain his numerous credentials and licenses.
